“Stress” is a study of impact-driven surfaces: Forces like smearing, pulling and carving are applied to simple, archetypal objects, then a texture is created based on this deformation and, subsequently, the pieces are 3D printed in full color. The set explores ways of employing the digital as a responsive material and of making its forming process tangible.
