The exhibition at Friedman Benda gallery in New York displays newly commissioned works from nine emerging architectural practices: Andy and Dave, Ania Jaworska, architecten de vylder vinck taillieu, Leong Leong, MILLIØNS, MOS, Norman Kelley, Florian Idenburg (SO–IL), and Pezo von Ellrichshausen. The title alludes to a state of egalitarian “in-betweenness,” a term defined by R.D. Laing in The Politics of Experience—a reference to their makers’ non-dogmatic approach to object creation.
