Trix and Robert Haussmann’s “Die Urkiste nach dem Sündenfall” is part of a series of variations of a plain box with a seemingly missing corner. Mirror, which they describe as a virtual material, reflects three different dimensions in every space like a diamond projecting value from its surface. The Haussmanns have been extensively exploring the relationship between design and visual perception. In order to create new subjective impressions, they disturb established views and ways of thinking through models and objects.
