Objects have been the theme of Nathalie Du Pasquier’s work for the last 25 years. “Kit n°11” juxtaposes flat painted surfaces in the shape of impossible objects with “real” constructions made out of painted wood sculptures. The kit evokes a sense of “straniamento” (estrangement), which is experienced when you do not know what you are looking at. “It seems to be existing but you have never seen anything like it, it does not relate to what you expect,” says Du Pasquier.
